This month #MarketingMika and I got to experience our Spa of the Month firsthand at the Aqualia Spa by ESPA in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.
From arrival to departure, we felt safe and secure with all of the precautionary and sanitation measures put in place. Our temperatures were taken upon entering the spa through a video device that notifies you to “wear your mask.” All of the lockers had Rejuvenate Disinfectant stickers on them to ensure they were clean before use. Our massage therapists wore nitrile gloves and washed their hands before and after treatment.
Mika and I spent some time outside soaking in the gorgeous views of the swimming pool while sitting underneath a bright red umbrella. We could see the ocean glistening in the sunlight from a mile away. The outdoor swimming pool was just as beautiful as the amenities inside.
Our restful state began in the Relaxation Lounge where we enjoyed the Himalayan Salt Wall containing detoxifying negative ions that purify the air naturally. Specific benefits of the walls include a sense of relaxation and stress relief, increase vitality and energy, and an overall sense of well-being.
We both experienced the deeply relaxing Sound Care Massage inspired by the use of sound therapy to calm and reduce fear in patients under general anesthesia in Europe. The treatments began with a private consultation and a selection of calming, sleep-inducing music on an iPad while receiving a stress-relieving foot massage. The music selection included classical and world music from a Romantic Break and Classical Harp to Cuban Night and Scents of Asia. We both left our treatments feeling completely transformed.
The staff gave us a warm farewell with beautiful hats that say “Take Me to Aqualina” and crystals to remember our experience.
It’s these small details that made the experience extraordinary! And during this time of fear and worry, it was the constant reassurance that we were safe that made all of the difference!
